StFX has released their athletes of the week.
X-Men hockey defenseman Adam Holwell was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week. Holwell had an assist on the first goal in a 2-1 win in Moncton Friday, where he also scored the game winner in overtime.
X-Women hockey forward Tyra Meropoulis was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week. Meropoulis, received player of the game honours in StFX’s 6-0 shutout win over UNB Friday night. She scored two goals and had one assist in the victory.
Jordan Socholotiuk, Tyler Cordeiro, and Keiran Burnham got the StFX football Athlete of the Week nods for offense, defense, and special teams respectively.
