Inverness Development Association members receive human rights award

Members of a local organization have received a Nova Scotia Human Rights Award.

Provincial officials presented six awards at a ceremony in Halifax Monday.

The awards acknowledge the work of people who advance human rights at the community level.

Members of the Inverness Development Association were recognized for their Inverness Beach Boardwalk renewal initiative, which created accessibility to the beach for people with disabilities.
