St. Andrews’ Declan Smith and the Screaming Eagles (26-15-3), who had their three-game winning streak snapped, are tied with Rimouski for sixth in the 18-team league with 55 points, two points behind Moncton for fifth, and a point ahead of eighth-place Charlottetown.
Cape Breton has a 3-2 edge through the first five games of the nine-game season series.
