The StFX men’s hockey team is on the road for AUS action.
They’re in Charlottetown to play the UPEI Panthers.
The X-Men (11-9-3), who have lost back-to-back games, are tied with the Panthers (11-9-3) for fourth in the seven-team conference with 25 points, two points behind Moncton for third, and nine points ahead of sixth-place Acadia.
It’s the third game in the five-game season series- they’ve split the first two.
Game time is 7 p.m.
It’s the first half of a home-and-home series; the teams meet again in Antigonish Friday night.
The Cape Breton West Islanders host Pictou Co. in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League.
The Islanders (13-16-2), losers of back-to-back games and three of their last four, are fifth in the eight-team league with 28 points, five points behind the Valley for fourth, and eight points ahead of South Shore and Cape Breton, the two teams tied for sixth; Pictou Co. (8-18-2), who has a 3-2 edge through the first five games of the seven-game season series, is last with 18 points.
Puck drop at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre in Port Hood is 7:30 p.m.
