Eleven community groups in Antigonish County will benefit from the Provincial Wellness Fund.
Grants were awarded by the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the Department of Health and Wellness to non-profit organizations working to improve health.
The Antigonish Town and County Community Health Board recognized recipients including Antigonish Food Security Association…Mini Trail Community Centre and St. Andrew’s Consolidated Home and School Association.
Community Health Board co-chair Fearghus MacDonald says the projects will improve and contribute to a healthier and wholesome community.
