Pump prices drop for first time in five weeks

The price of gas is back below $1/litre in some parts of the Quad Counties.

Pump prices fell 2.3 cents during the regular price adjustment at midnight, which means the new range for a litre of regular self-serve in the Quad Counties is between $0.99.3 on the low end, and $1.02.3 on the high end.

Prices had increased four weeks in a row following three straight weeks with no increases before Friday’s decrease.

Diesel also dropped, falling 1.9 cents at midnight; that means the new range in the Quad Counties is between a minimum of $1.20.2 and a maximum of $1.23.2.
