Antigonish’s Landyn Pitts, Kara and Ella MacLean and the Nova Scotia women’s hockey team open play at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta.

They face Team Ontario in Pool B action at 7 p.m.

Team Nova Scotia takes on Alberta, the host team, Monday night.

The StFX women’s hockey team is in Halifax to play the Saint Mary’s Huskies in game two of their best-of-three AUS semi-final series.

The X-Women who won the series opener in Antigonish Friday night, can advance to the conference final with a win.

Game time is 6:30 p.m.

The third and deciding game- if necessary- will be in Antigonish Tuesday night.

The Cabot Highlanders play their second road game in as many days in the Nova Scotia Minor Midget AAA Hockey League.

The Highlanders, coming off a loss against the Valley Wildcats in Berwick Saturday, visit the Admirals.

The teams are at opposite ends of the standings in the eight-team league- the Admirals, who have won the first three games in the five-game season series, are first, while the Highlanders are last.

Game time is 11:30 a.m.

The Halifax Mooseheads are right back in action in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Mooseheads, who won against Saint John at home Saturday night, host the Armada.

It’s the second and final regular season game between the teams- the Armada won the first at home 3-1 in November.

Puck drop at Scotiabank Centre is 3 p.m.
