Pirates host Bulldogs in game three

The Sid Rowe Division semi-final between the Strait Pirates and Antigonish Bulldogs returns to Port Hawkesbury for game three.

The Pirates won the opening game in the best-of-seven, first-round Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League series 4-2 at home Friday night; the Bulldogs evened the series with a 3-2 overtime win at home Sunday night.

Taylor Lambke, the head of the Pirates, tells The Hawk Antigonish hasn’t seen their best yet.

“Give the Bulldogs credit, they played well in the first two games- I don’t think we’ve found our game yet,” he says. “Fortunately, we’re tied 1-1 and we have a big game on home ice- we’ll make sure we’re ready to go, and make sure we bring the work ethic.”

Puck drop at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre is 7:30 p.m.

The series returns to Antigonish for game four Thursday night.
