The Screaming Eagles (38-22-6), who snapped a two-game losing streak, are seventh in the 18-team league with 82 points, three points behind Charlottetown for sixth, and a point ahead of Moncton and Chicoutimi, the two teams tied for eighth.
Cape Breton won eight of the nine games in the season series between the Maritimes Division opponents.
