The Strait Regional Centre for Education has named the new executive director of education.
Paul Landry will start in the position on Monday.
The deputy minister of education and early childhood development made the announcement on Wednesday.
In the past, Landry worked at the regional level as the coordinator of strategic planning and the coordinator of school improvement and special projects.
He has served as principal and taught at the elementary, middle school and high school levels in our province and British Columbia.
Landry is a graduate of StFX.
SCRE officials say the appointment follows a national search by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
