Pirates visit Blazers in game two of NSJHL final

The Strait Pirates hit the road to try to even the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League final with the Sackville Blazers.

The Blazers won the opening game of the best-of-seven series 3-1 in Port Hawkesbury Friday night.

Taylor Lambke, the head coach of the Pirates, tells The Hawk they have to be hungrier for goals in game two.

“We generated a lot of chances in game one, (but) we didn’t get enough traffic to the net and enough secondary bodies going there,” he says. “(Monday) we’re just going to focus on getting a lot of pucks to the net, making it difficult for (their goalie) to see the puck, and hopefully we can bang in a few goals around the net.”

Game time in Sackville is 8 p.m.

The series returns to Port Hawkesbury for game three Saturday night.
