The Strait Pirates host the Sackville Blazers in a pivotal game five in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League final.
The best-of-seven series became a best-of-three when the Blazers slipped past the Pirates 2-1 in game four in Sackville to even the series at two Monday night.
Taylor Lambke, the head coach of the Pirates, tells The Hawk he wants more of the same from his players after they fired 51 shots at Sackville in game four.
“We’ve just got to keep getting traffic (and) getting pucks to the net- if we can get enough chances, I think we’ll get some goals,” he says. “Overall, we’re not disappointed in how we’ve been playing, we just need to find a way to score some goals and make sure we shut it down defensively- if we do that, we’ll be o-k.”
Puck drop at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre is 7:30 p.m.
The winner of Tuesday’s game will have a chance to win the league final, and advance to the Don Johnson Cup, when the series shifts back to Sackville for game six Friday night.
