Price of gas drops for first time since Feb. 1

Pump prices are lower for the first time in 13 weeks.

The price of gas dropped as much as 3.7 cents during the regular price adjustment at midnight, which means the new range for a litre of regular self-serve in the Quad Counties is between $1.31.1 on the low end, and $1.34.1 on the high end.

It’s the first drop since Feb. 1; prices had increased in 12 straight weeks, and 16 of the previous 17 weeks.

Diesel is also lower, falling 1.2 cents a litre at midnight; that means the new range in the Quad Counties is between a minimum of $1.25 and a maximum of $1.28.
