Locals recognized for promotion of french language

Two locals have been recognized for their dedication to the Acadian and Francophone community.

Gabriel Leblanc and Daniel Aucoin have received The L’ordre de la Pléiade which is an international distinction for tireless promotion of the french language.

Leblanc is from D’Escousse and Aucoin is from Cheticamp.

The MLA for Cape Breton-Richmond says people who help preserve Francophone culture, language and traditions should be acknowledged.

Alana Paon says acadian and francophone communities are a big part of our provinces heritage.
