Petit-De-Grat man sentenced for 10 counts of Indecent Assault

Delmore Boudreau, 91, has been given a suspended sentence of three years probation for 10 counts of Indecent Assault.

Boudreau had pleaded not-guilty on all counts, but he entered new guilty pleas for all 10 counts of Indecent Assault after a re-election, from judge and jury to a judge alone, Wednesday in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Port Hawkesbury.

He has also been given a SOIRA order (registration as a sex offender), a DNA order, and a section 161 order which prohibits Boudreau from places where children would be and any familial contact with children must be strictly supervised.

Seven of the nine victims named in the case provided victim impact statements, two of whom read their statements in court.

The charges against Boudreau were in relation to assaults against children, which took place between 1966 and 1986 in Petit-De-Grat in Richmond country.
