StFX getting over a third of a million from feds

Saint Francis Xavier University is getting $341,000 for STEM research.

MP Sean Fraser, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, made the announcement Thursday.

The money is being split between 5 researchers working on projects in human kinetics, medical imaging, natural gas, chemistry, and geology.

The lions share of the money, $127,500 over five years each, will go to Melanie Lam for her work on human joint action, and Jacob Levman, who is working on machine learning in medical imaging.
