A local museum is getting a new name.
The Port Hastings Museum and Archives is becoming the Strait Area Museum.
In a release, members of the Port Hastings Historical Society say they made the decision at June’s regular meeting.
They say the name change better reflects their collection that has expanded to cover the entire Strait area.
The Port Hastings Historical Society was founded in 1978.
