An Inverness Co. goalie has been drafted to the NHL.
River Denys’ Colten Ellis was drafted in the third round (93rd overall) by the St. Louis Blues at the 2019 NHL Entry Draft Saturday.
Ellis had six shutouts with the Rimouski Océanic during the 2018-19 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season.
He was between the pipes for the Cape Breton West Islanders when they won the Telus Cup in 2017.
