Community pool in Mulgrave getting upgrades- CAO

Mulgrave‘s chief administrative officer says a pair of donations will cover some much-needed updates to the community pool.

Darlene Berthier Sampson says town officials received $6,500 from reps from two town businesses.

After June’s regular town council meeting Monday night, Berthier Sampson said they need to do some cosmetic updates to the main building at the pool.

“The inside of the building, specifically the ceilings where there’s a lot of water and moisture, are starting to show their age,” she said. “We’ve had someone go in and structurally assess it, (and) it’s not a structural issue- it needs some paint.”

Berthier Sampson said they also strengthened their policies and procedures for the pool for safety reasons.
