Port Hood water advisory lifted

The boil water advisory in Port Hood has been lifted.

Municipal officials say the advisory, which was put in place Thursday, was a public health preventative action.

They say customers on the Port Hood Water System are free to consume water without boiling it.

Officials say samples taken from all four sample points in the community have returned negative of any bacterial contamination two days in a row.
