A vehicle crashed into a building in the Quad Counties on Monday.
The Visitor Information Centre in Port Hastings was hit by a motor vehicle.
Communications Adviser for Tourism Nova Scotia Sandra Alexander says a car drove into the building near the washroom.
Alexander tells the Hawk the Visitor Information Centre should reopen by the end of the week.
“The building was inspected today for structural damage and work has already begun on repairs so that means the Visitor Information Centre and the public washrooms are going to remain closed, but we are hoping to be reopen later this week.”
Alexander says one person was sent to the hospital
“Emergency services including RCMP and paramedics attended the scene and a passenger in the car was taken to the hospital for further assessment” she said. “Luckily there were no other injures.”
Alexander says she doesn’t know for sure what day the building will reopen to the public.
