Central Nova Conservative candidate leaves race

The Conservative candidate for Central Nova in the upcoming federal election has withdrawn from the race.

In a Facebook post Monday night, Roger MacKay announced he’s stepping down as the party’s candidate.

He said the reason for his decision is personal, and he did not take it lightly.

MacKay recently took a three-month leave of absence from his role as the mayor of Westville to run federally.
