Missing 12-year-old found safe in Guysborough Co.

Guysborough Co. RCMP say shortly before 9 p.m. last night they responded to a call of a missing 12-year-old girl.

Police say the girl had been out with a family member on an atv when it became stuck.

RCMP say the girl decided to walk home on her own when she became disoriented and was not able to find her way.

They say an RCMP Police Dog Team was called to assist and local Ground Search and Rescue teams were dispatched as well.

Police say Ground Search and Rescue located the missing girl around 7 a.m. this morning and she was in good condition.

RCMP say was checked by EHS and was released to her family.
