A dead whale has washed up along the shore in Inverness Co.

The carcass, believed to be that of a juvenile blue whale roughly 50-60 feet in length, washed up some time on or before Sept. 18.

It’s not far from Colindale Beach, close to Port Hood.

Officials with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and Marine Animal Response Society are reportedly involved.
