A man and woman facing drug charges following a traffic stop in Inverness Co. are expected back in court in November.
RCMP say members of the Inverness-Richmond District Street Crime Enforcement Unit laid the charges after they stopped a car on Rte. 19 in Port Hastings in June 2017.
They say they arrested an Antigonish man and a Port Hastings woman after they seized roughly 50 grams of cocaine.
Police originally charged Gabriel Chaisson, 42, and Carol Taylor, 42, with trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The pair, who made their first appearance in the case the day after their arrests, had a charter hearing in Aug. 2018; the judge denied the application in October.
They were scheduled to stand trial in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday; instead, it was adjourned until Nov. 25.
