Soccer and rugby players are the latest StFX athletes of the week.
Dan Hayfield, a forward with the X-Men soccer team, earned male honours after he recorded five points in a pair of weekend home wins.
Hayfield had a goal and an assist in Friday’s 3-0 win against Saint Mary’s; he scored twice and added an assist in Sunday’s 3-0 win against Moncton.
Anna Horner, an X-Women rugby No. 8, won the female award.
Horner was StFX’s leading tackler and ball carrier in Friday’s 38-14 win against Acadia in Wolfville; she recorded the first try of the second half.
Running back Chase Bowden, linebacker Gordon Whyte and kicker/punter Kerian Burnham are the StFX football players of the week.
