Crash shuts down section of Hwy. 104

An early blast of winter weather made for some tricky driving conditions.

Snow, blowing snow and snow squalls led to treacherous driving in many parts of the Quad Counties Wednesday night.

Emergency crews responded to a crash on Hwy. 104 on the Havre Boucher hill in Antigonish Co.

Traffic was stopped in both directions at one point; there’s no word on injuries.

The conditions led RCMP to tweet a warning to slow down and drive with extra caution on Hwy. 104 between Lower South River and Havre Boucher.
