It’s election day at a First Nations community in Antigonish Co.
Paqtnkek band members will cast their ballots from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
They’ll vote for a chief and six councillors.
Incumbent P.J. Prosper and challenger Michael Julian are running for chief, while there are 21 candidates for the six available council positions, up from the previous five spots; all five incumbent councillors are running again.
