100 Women Who Care in Rural Cape Breton has given over $13,000 to the Whycocomagh Volunteer Fire Department.
A release from the group says it was one of three charities randomly selected to present for the group of over 100 women, the ROC Society and the Mother of Sorrows Shrine also presented.
It says each of the three charities gave their case, and the Whycocomagh Volunteer Fire Department got the most votes, so they received $100 from each of the women.
The total donation came in at $13,600.
