Antigonish Co. man charged following four-vehicle crash

RCMP say they’ve charged a man from Antigonish Co. in relation to a crash that left a woman with serious injuries.

They say the four-vehicle crash happened on Hwy. 7 in Preston at roughly 5:20 p.m. Saturday.

Police say a car veered into oncoming traffic, struck another car, then hit two SUVs.

They say a passenger in the first car, a 36-year-old woman from Truro, was taken to hospital with serious injuries; five others were checked at the scene and released.

Morris James Lanceleve, 35, faces two impaired driving-related counts and seven breaches; he’s expected in Dartmouth Provincial Court Monday.

RCMP say more charges are pending.
