A player from one of the local teams in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League has received some league-wide recognition.
Jacob Keagan, a forward with the Strait Pirates, is the Sid Rowe Division’s player of the month for November.
Keagan had 15 points- eight goals and seven assists- in nine games during the month.
He’ll be presented with his award at the Pirates’ next home game, when they host the Antigonish Bulldogs in the latest edition of the Battle of the Quad Counties at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre Dec. 13.
