Pair facing charges following Inverness Co. traffic stop committed to stand trial

Two men facing charges following a traffic stop in Inverness Co. are committed to stand trial.

Police say they arrested two men and seized a quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Hwy. 105 in Port Hastings in August.

Martin Julian, 39, of Paq’tnkek, and Ivan Isadore, 30, of Waycobah, are facing charges of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

They were expected for election-and-plea in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday; instead, a trial date has been set for June 11.
