Northern Pulp will continue with an environmental assessment on their proposed effluent pipe.
The company made the announcement in a statement Thursday.
The release says they will continue the process with the province to find a replacement to their Boat Harbour site.
NS Environment reps say they are obligated to continue working on the environmental assessment with the company but are still committed to upholding the Jan. 31 deadline to stop the pumping of effluent into Boat Harbour.
