The 16th day of testimony has adjourned at the Desmond Fatality Inquiry in Guysborough.
Three people gave evidence Tuesday, the last was Dan Kulaneck.
Kulaneck owns Leaves and Limbs, a sporting goods and firearms store in Antigonish, and sold Lionel Desmond the rifle he used, the same day, to kill his wife, daughter, mother, and himself in their Upper Big Tracadie home in 2017.
Inquiry lawyers played security footage Kulaneck provided to police and asked how Desmond was acting on two trips he made to Leaves and Limbs in the months before he purchased the firearm in January.
“He acted basically the same as he did on the day in question. It was just very relaxed, calm, no anxiety,” he said. “He was very patient; he was, I just, I don’t get it; I just don’t get it.”
Kulaneck was visibly upset throughout questioning and shed a few tears near the end of the day.
Testimony continues Monday.
