There are more weekend emergency department closures at a trio of local hospitals.
The ER at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday until 8 a.m. Monday.
The Victoria Co. Memorial Hospital‘s emergency department in Baddeck will shut down between 4 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.
The reason for the closures is lack of physician coverage.
Meanwhile, the St. Anne Centre in Arichat will close from 7 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday; the reason for that closure is RN unavailability.
You’re asked to go to another emergency room or call 911 with a medical emergency; you can call 811 for any non-urgent health issues.
