The impact of the coronavirus is being felt within the Diocese of Antigonish.
Bishop Wayne Kirkpatrick has announced all public weekday and weekend masses in the diocese will be suspended for the time being, and all church buildings are closed to members of the public.
Baptisms, weddings and funerals may still be celebrated privately, but only immediate family members can be present.
Kirkpatrick says he can’t put a time frame on when the situation will improve.
