Our province has recorded its first death related to COVID-19.
Officials with the provincial government say a woman in her 70s with underlying medical conditions died in hospital in the Eastern Zone (Antigonish Co., Guysborough Co. and Cape Breton) as a result of complications related to COVID-19 Monday.
Premier Stephen McNeil says it’s a day he hoped would never come, and he’s deeply saddened a family in the province is going through this.
