Self Tracking Website for COVID Cases in Canada

A lot of people want to know if someone with Covid 19 is in their neighborhood. Is that knowledge is a good idea? It’s certainly a hot button topic.

A new self tracking website has launched in Canada called COVID Near You.

It had initially launched in the U.S. And now has expanded to Canada.

It’s a simple survey that begins with asking how you are feeling. How you answer determines the next questions.

Interestingly, the idea came from the movie Contagion (that movie from 2011 that is now treading on Netflix because we’re all a bunch of masochists? Yeah, that one)

One of the founders said the idea is to have people report their symptoms and their general location (it asks for half of your postal code)

As of yesterday, almost 45, 000 Canadians had added to the survey.
