A pub in Mabou has made a donation to the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital.
Heather Rankin, co-owner of The Red Shoe Pub, was recently at the hospital to present a cheque for $15,000 in support of the emergency department.
Rankin says the services health care workers provide to our small communities is crucial.
“We feel rural Nova Scotia is important to the province and we want to support the services at the hospital in Inverness, especially the emergency department.”
The ICMH Charitable Foundation says this is just one example of how residents have been supportive throughout the pandemic.
Brenda Rankin MacDonald, Charitable Foundation fundraising coordinator at the Inverness Hospital says supporting outpatient services is important to everyone in the Municipality of Inverness.
“The Red Shoe Pub’s generous gift to our emergency department is a tremendous example of generosity and support to a department that impacts so many people in our county.”
MacDonald says support for the hospital and staff and is greatly appreciated.
