Richmond Co. office to reopen pending COVID-19 measures

Staff have returned to the Richmond Co. office, but it isn’t open to the public yet.

Warden Brian Marchand says they’ll be putting in measures to enforce public health protocols this week.

He says council will decide on an opening date at Tuesday’s regular council meeting.

Marchand tells The Hawk other municipal services will take longer.

“As for the recreation programs, I don’t think they’re going to be opening up yet. I believe our recreation director has been speaking with Dr. Strang, through Recreation Nova Scotia,” he says. “Some decisions will be made on what things can be offered going forward.”

Marchand says they have to follow public health measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
