7pm August 14 – Dave Elliott and Justin Stewart

Little Voice …. If you’re not over 40, you probably never heard of them

Little Voice was a band from Port Hawkesbury in the early 90’s who played all over Nova Scotia

These guys developed a huge repertoire over the years of both originals and cover songs consisting of artists such as the hip, pearl jam, gin blossoms counting crows and Live just to name a few.

They performed at some of the largest Venues in Atlantic Canada including The Misty Moon and the Palace in Halifax, and Smooth Herman’s in Sydney as well as several other smaller venues. The one they are known for playing most is the Carriage House/Billy Joe’s Place and were there so often they were also referred to as “Familiar Voice”

Shared the stage with Colin James, Haywire, Trooper and Ray Lyell and the Storm (who you also won’t remember unless you are over 40.

Little Voice recorded an album of original material called Corn right here in PH. Sold quite a few and were the first local rock band in the area to put out a CD (most were still using tapes at the time!)

Album singles “Every Second I Fall” and “Crimmon Street” both hit number 1 on CIGO radio (prior to being renamed the hawk). Corn was also named number 1 at St FX top 13 for the year

Dave Elliott and Justin Stewart will be playing some tunes and telling some stories about the old “Band Days” on our Facebook Fanpage!
