The suspect in a stabbing in Inverness remains in custody after his case was adjourned.

RCMP say 54-year-old Francis Xavier Forance turned himself in shortly after the incident Friday.

They say a 38-year-old man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed following an argument.

Forance stands accused of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He’ll be back in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Thursday.
