Two local ERs experiencing temporary closures

Two local emergency rooms are experiencing temporary closures this week.

The Guysborough Memorial Hospital ER in Guysborough:
Closed: Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m.; Reopens Thursday, Aug 27 at 7 a.m.
Closed: Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m.; Reopens Saturday, Aug 29 at 7 a.m.

The Victoria County Memorial Hospital ER in Baddeck:
Closed: Friday, Aug. 21 at 4 p.m.; Reopens: Saturday, Aug. 22 at 8 a.m.
Closed: Saturday, Aug. 22 at 4 p.m.; Reopens: Sunday, Aug. 23 at 8 a.m.
Closed: Sunday, Aug. 23 at 4 p.m.; Reopens: Monday, Aug. 24 at 8 a.m.
Closed: Thursday, Aug. 27 at 8 a.m.; Reopens: Friday, Aug. 28 at 8 a.m.
Closed: Friday, Aug. 28 at 4 p.m.; Reopens: Saturday, Aug. 29 at 8 a.m.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the closures are due to lack of physician coverage.
