More candidates for town council in Antigonish have come forward.
Incumbent town councillors Donnie MacInnis, Willie Cormier, Jack MacPherson and Diane Roberts have all announced they’re re-offering; current councillors Mary Farrell and Andrew Murray previously announced their candidacy.
Meanwhile, a former town councillor is trying to get back to the council table.
Sean Cameron spent 16 years on council before he lost the mayoral race to Laurie Boucher in 2016.
Municipal elections take place across the province Oct. 17.
