A local hockey player has committed to StFX.
Landyn Pitts, a forward from Lower West River, Antigonish Co., will join the X-Women program for the 2021-22 season.
Pitts is in her third and final season with the Northern Selects female midget AAA team; she was the league’s rookie of the year in her first season, and was named a first-team all-star in her second season.
She has represented Team Nova Scotia at the Canada Winter Games and Team Atlantic at U18 nationals.
