Price of gas drops ahead of long weekend

Pump prices are lower for the first time in three weeks.

The price of gas fell less than a cent- as much as 0.7 cents a litre- at midnight; that means the new range in the Quad Counties is between a minimum of 96.2 cents and a maximum of 99.1 cents.

It’s the first decrease after back-to-back increases.

Diesel went the other way, climbing 2.1 cents a litre; the new range is between 87.9 cents on the low end and 90.9 cents on the high end.
