Both of the province’s Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams are on home ice.
The Cape Breton Eagles (1-1-0) and Halifax Mooseheads (1-0-1) split their home-and-home series to open the 2020-21 season Oct. 2-3.
The Eagles host River Denys’ Colten Ellis and the undefeated Charlottetown Islanders (2-0-0) at Centre 200 in Sydney; the teams meet again in Sydney Saturday night.
The Mooseheads host Pleasant Valley’s Jacob Hudson, Antigonish’s Jake and Sean Stewart and the winless Moncton Wildcats (0-2-0) at Scotiabank Centre.
Both games get underway at 7 p.m.
