Every town in the Quad Counties has new faces at the council table.
There is one new mayor, Ron Chisholm in Mulgrave. He defeated Lorne MacDonald.
All the town’s council seats were acclaimed. They are split between incumbents Bob Russell and Tanya Snow, and newcomers Crystal Durling and Krista Luddington.
Mayor Brenda Chisholm-Beaton was re-elected in Port Hawkesbury.
One new councillor there, Jason Aucoin. All three incumbent councillors return: Hughie MacDougall, Mark MacIver, and Blaine MacQuarrie.
Mayor Laurie Boucher was acclaimed in Antigonish. Five incumbents: William Cormier, Mary Farrell, Donnie MacInnis, Andrew Murray, and Diane Roberts return to the table. One new face, Sean Cameron, also takes a seat.

Richmond Co. has a brand-new council: Shawn Samson, Michael Diggdon, Melanie Sampson, Amanda Mombourquette, and Brent Sampson.
No incumbent councillors won seats.
In Antigonish Co. there are two new councillors: Shawn Brophy and Harris McNamara.
One incumbent, Donnie MacDonald, won his seat back.
Seven incumbents were acclaimed: Mary MacLellan, Hughie Stewart, Remi Deveau, Owen McCarron, John Dunbar, Gary Mattie, and Bill MacFarlane.
In the Municipality of the District of Guysborough one newcomer took a seat, Mary Germaine Desmond.
Four incumbent councillors won their races: Neil DeCoff, Janet Peitzsche, Vernon Pitts, and Fin Armsworthy. Three incumbents were acclaimed: Paul Long, Dave Hanhams, and Rickey McLaren.
Three new faces in Inverness Co.: Bonny MacIsaac, Lynn Chisholm, and Catherine Gillis.
One councillor, John MacLennan, won his bid for re-election. Two incumbents, Alfred Poirier and Laurie Cranton, were acclaimed.
