New dates have been set for the Desmond Fatality Inquiry.
The first round of witness testimony wrapped up in March, just before the arrival of COVID-19 in the province.
Testimony was scheduled to resume in May, but was postponed due to the pandemic.
Adam Rodgers, the Desmond family lawyer, tells The Hawk Judge Warren Zimmer, the inquiry’s commissioner, has informed the various counsels hearings will resume Feb. 16.
Rodgers says the session, which is expected to last four weeks, is moving from the Guysborough Municipal Building to the Port Hawkesbury Justice Centre in order to follow COVID-19 guidelines.
