MacMaster to receive province’s highest honour

A well-known local musician will be invested into the Order of Nova Scotia.

Natalie MacMaster is among six new recipients.

MacMaster, a fiddler originally from Troy, Inverness Co., has won a pair of Junos and several Artist of the Year awards from the East Coast Music Association; she’s already a member of the Order of Canada, an honour she received in 2006.

The 2020 recipients will be recognized during an investiture ceremony in Halifax Nov. 24.
